Dr. Karl Ching is a Board-certified Periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontal diseases and dental implants. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Ching completed his doctorate of dental surgery at UC Los Angeles. Having chosen Periodontology as his specialty, he completed a three-year surgical residency at UCLA in Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Dr. Ching has served as a clinical instructor and lecturer at UCLA, and has lectured on various topics in dentistry, dental hygiene, periodontal health, bone regeneration, and dental implants. In addition to traditional treatment methods, Dr. Ching is well versed in a wide range of regenerative techniques that allow improved function and superior esthetics. Having extensive experience in working with highly-compromised patients, Dr. Ching has a particular interest in treatment of oral diseases as a component of overall medical health.
Dr. Ching is currently an active member of the American Board of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Southern Alameda Dental Society, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Ching nurtures his connections with nature, studying in ethnobotany, primitive cultures, traditional healing methods, and martial arts.
